What is it?

Many foster families get the call for a placement and that child is in their home within hours of the call. In reality, most of these children come into care with little or no possessions. Foster families have to adapt to new genders, age groups, and sizes that they may be under equipped to handle at a moment’s notice. The mission of The Caring Closet is to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we meet the needs of foster families in our community. The Caring Closet is a place where children and families can come to find clothing, shoes, toiletries, bedding, toys, and other items that they may need. All items are free to foster families for the children in their care.
